Thank you so much to all of the family members who came out to help on the course. God blessed us with perfect weather both days. Officer Pete taught us about bicycle safety and Officer Bynum joined him on Wednesday for a few classes. The older students learned how to negotiate an incline and how to be in control on the downhill and around the curves. The younger classes rode a shorter course and practiced keeping a safe distance from other vehicles, a life-long skill! A few ducks may have been run over but most of them survived!
Donations will be accepted through the end of April and all of the funds raised will be going to the Child Life program in memory of Kristen Bartneck and in honor of Braxton and all our students who have been treated at CHKD.
Thanks to all of you who have already donated! We hope you are enjoying your Spring Break and finding time to get outside to enjoy the fabulous weather.
Quick reminder to check the air in the tires, fit the helmets and put names on bikes and helmets this week.
When you drop off the bikes, look for the class signs in the grassy area out front. Helmets go inside to hang on your child’s hook so they can put them on before they come outside.
We look forward to having a stupendous Trike-a-thon in honor of the kids at CHKD!
